Why we work with solid oak
Dense, repairable, long-lasting: what oak changes in the life of a piece.
A solid oak piece can be sanded, repaired and handed down. That is the first reason we use neither veneer nor chipboard.
Three years of drying
Our boards air-dry for three years in the Jura before they reach the workshop. That slow process limits movement once the piece is in your home.
A wood that ages well
Oak darkens slightly with light. A coat of hardwax oil once a year is all it needs.
